Shiraz 2005 – Wine of the Year
Although
it's long been sold-out from store shelves, we keep receiving reminders
and prizes for our Estate Shiraz 2005.
We recently were awarded the prestigious award given by the World
Association Wine & Spirit Writers and Journalists declaring our Shiraz
2005 as the Wine of the Year for 2007.

The WAWWJ competition ranks the
wines that have been most
prized in official competitions worldwide.

* The total number of samples presented to said competitions during 2007:

WAWWJ: 147
* Total number of samples considered by the WAWWJ: 96% of the world total:

Keeping these facts and figures in mind, the Tishbi Estate Winery's 2005
Estate Shiraz won a total of 206 points as it participated in competitions
and won the following awards:
Finger Lakes 2007 -Gold

ranking it second among all competing wines worldwide
for last year.
And now, even before it's hit the shelves, our 2006 harvest Shiraz has been
prized and complimented at the Finger Lakes competition (see above). Just a
few more months of bottle-aging and it will be ready for you to enjoy as
well.
