Wine Season Has Begun
By: By Wine Reviewer Shlomo Papirblatt (Yediot Aharonot - March 21, 2005)

The Tishbi Winery’s elite wine series, “Jonatahan Tishbi Special Reserve”, has launched a limited amount of numbered bottles from the 2002 harvest, made from the fattened grapes of their own selected vineyards and strict wine making techniques. The reviewer tasted the reds and was duly impressed.

Tishbi Merlot, Special Reserve – Gush Etzion and Kfar Yuval, 2002
(12,000 bottles produced)

The wine has a deep, pleasant color and a wide array of fragrances: sun-ripened plums, interwoven with black fruit, some smooth chocolate and just a hint of oak. On the palate, the wine is rich and complex, robust and velvety smooth and wonderfully full-bodied.

(NIS 140 per bottle)

Tishbi Cabernet Sauvignon, Special Reserve – Gush Etzion, 2002
(6,500 bottles produced)

This wine is made from grapes grown in the vineyards of the Judean Mountains, located some 800-900 meters above sea level. It is an elegant wine with an extremely fragrant bouquet of black fruit and hot, ripe cherries with just the slightest hint of oak. On the palate, it is soft, pleasant and balanced.

(NIS 140 per bottle)
